Reiki
Reiki is pronounced " Ray-Key" REI - is the Japanese word which means "universal" and is also a reference to the higher dimension of light and the soul. KI - is the Japanese word which means the vital life force energy which interpenetrates and connects all.
Many cultures, races and religions have always been aware of the existence of an energy which corresponds to the meaning of ki. In these other modes ki is named:
Chi by the Chinese
Prana by Hindus
Mana by Kahunas
Wakan or Wakouda by the Sioux
Healing power of naure by Hippocrates
Orgon Energy by Wilhelm Reikch
And many others
All are one and the same basic energy. Though how they are applied, to what extent, and their theories differ. Reiki comes through you not from you. You are the channel through which the energy flowes.
Reiki is powerful, and natural. It unlocks or unblocks the inner flow of vital energy. Reiki synchronizes and energizes vital meridian and acupuncture points of the body, gently aligning and balancing the major energy or chakra centers in the body. Reiki supports other medical procedures and practices and neither conflicts with nor interferes with other treatment. It assists the body in its own highest level of healing and wellness. Reiki is a great way for releasing stress, and tension. Reiki is a complete healing system yet acts synergistically with other types of healing modalities. It restores balance and harmoney.
